Wow! This is a contest entering prize winning photo IMHO. What a great place to curl up on the bench and read a book or just take in the fall air. Gorgeous!!!!!
Hi Chris Ann - That's a lovely photo, evocative of the way things used to be...just a few short days ago. We won't be seeing anything like that again anytime soon around here - our second snowfall is melting away, and revealing lots of browns and greys - the colors of winter are upon us.
Beautiful! I love pictures of vacant chairs or benches... Leaves so much to the imagination of what could be happening there, thought about there, wished for, etc, etc. Thanks for sharing it!
Belinda: I kept passing it in my Mom's community of Heritage Hunt. Took a few shots to actually capture the way I was seeing it.
Dick: I can't wait for the snow. I love it!
Brenda: Same here. Makes me want to, as my Mom says, "Sit a spell."
Chris Ann - That bench has my name on it as reserved space for at least an hour:-) Gorgeous composition and colors!
Oh Chris Ann I like it .. What a beautiful way to spend the day ... I ran around all day ..but I loved it and I love your photo
Hannah
Chris Ann, this photo is gorgeous! The colors are striking! After our last couple snowstorms, most of our leaves are gone!
Great pic, Chris Ann! The tall evergreens make me think of when we lived in Washington State!
That looks so peaceful. I want to sit on that bench drinking coffee and reading a book or talking with a close friend :-) Kasey
Myrl: Sadly, whenever I drive by this and the other benches in the neighborhood, there isn't a soul on them. No reservations needed.
Hannah: I ran around all day too. Like you, I enjoy being busy, but we do need to take down time.
DeeDee: Those evergreens are striking all year long. Love them. They are a nice backdrop to the golf course that is nearby.
Kasey: Sounds like a great way to relax.
Wait, I thought you said everything was turning brown? There is a lot of golden yellow in that photo!!
Beautiful shot, Chris. Makes me want to sit on that bench and listen to the birds chirp.
Chris Ann,
At the end of a long week, that scene with the bench is such a lovely welcoming site for a crisp Fall afternoon. Nice photo thanks for sharing it with us. Have a great weekend.
Michele: This has certainly been a trying week. Maybe the time change got us all a bit grumpy. I know I need lots of sunlight to survive.
