Like Gravity- You Just Can't Change It
We cannot argue the fact that like attracts like, just as we cannot argue with gravity. It is what it is, and we either accept and embrace it as reality or we waste our time fighting a losing battle.
Whether you are a real estate broker, mortgage banker, or a network marketer trying to recruit the best people, the following rule applies: To attract what we want, we must become what we want.
How To Attract Leaders and Top Producers
Are you attracting and recruiting lazy, ineffective people, or are you attracting leaders and top producers with ambition?
Now, some of you may be saying, "Hey, that's not a reflection of me! I'm a hard worker, and I'm out there trying every day and really working on my business."
Here's what I say to that, "Trying" and "Being" are 2 very different things.
Honest And Hard Working Doesn't Attract Leaders
Think about it this way; there are lots of honest, hard working people in the world, but not everyone is attracted to those people, and care to follow them. Then there are people who seem to attract others like a moth to a bright light. Why is this? It's because these people have something of value, that others want to have, or be a part of. It's as if, just by being associated with those people, it will rub off on you and you will be more valuable and successful as well.
I'm not just referring to money and wealth, I'm talking about intangible things as well, such as a positive attitude, knowledge in a particular field or expertise in an area that is somewhat confusing to most others.
You Will Literally Have People Chasing You
When you apply this principle and really take the time to grow yourself as a leader through personal development, no matter what field or business it is, it's incredible to see how things change. When you acquire knowledge, apply that knowledge in real life, and begin achieving success, you will literally have people chasing you. You will see a major shift, and people around you will start offering you their time, money, and other resources, just to get in on your good fortune, a.k.a wealth.
My Lesson In Attracting Versus Chasing
I learned this lesson after we spent several years successfully flipping houses. All of a sudden, we had people coming to us with potential properties, and friends and family wanting to give us money for a cut of the profits on our next flip. It was a 180 degree turn from the worried expressions and well intentioned warnings we received, when we first began investing in real estate. And what a great feeling it was to be able to look at these people (who would have turned us down if we had asked for the money just a few years prior), and tell them, "No thanks, we've built up enough cash to buy them on our own".
When You Become the Leader, You Will Be Able To Turn Down Meetings & Recruits
When you become the leader that everyone wants on their team or working for their company, you too will be able to turn down meetings with people that want to "run an idea past you", or tell a prospective recruit, "thanks for calling, but I don't think you're the type of person I'm looking for". Trust me, it's AWESOME and a game changer!
