11-11-11 Veterans Day11-11-11 – Quite a significant coincidence in numbers, right?? But before you run off to Vegas to bet on 11, or confide in your local numerologist, let’s remember the true importance of this day…

November 11, 1918, during the 11th hour marks the day and time the Armistice was signed and major hostilities ended with Germany. Thus ending World War I…

Veteran’s Day, also known as Armistice Day, is a Holiday for us to thank and honor our Veterans who have served our country by giving unselfish service in the Military.

You might already know that there are approximately 25 million surviving Veteran’s today. But, I’ll be you didn’t know that Ravioli is the traditional meal for this Holiday! Really! Woodrow Wilson, knowing that our returning Soldiers would be looking forward to a home cooked meal, invited 2000 soldiers to the White House for a Ravioli. Former President Wilson even helped the Chefs prepare and cook the Ravioli meal.

So, of course, I'd would like to share some Ravioli recipes with you. We would also like to encourage you to submit any of your favorite Ravioli recipes, as well…

If you need a little tutorial about cooking pasta, please take a look at this Pasta Cooking Essentials video.

Please take a moment to thank a Soldier today!! I feel we should never take our daily moments in life for granted because someone you’ve never even met is fighting to make sure we continue to enjoy freedom and democracy…

Today I'd would like to honor my special Vets, Dale Reed, Sr. WWII, Dale Reed, Jr. Vietnam and Quinn Donathan, Afganistan…

I didn't know that about Ravioli.  I too will remember to put out a special note to some vets current and retired

Rabioli has never been my specialty. so you know I will be looking at the Quick and Easy recipe. But to the true nature of the post, it is true that most holidays we seem to lose sight of what they are really about. Veterans day is very important, where would we be without those who served?

Hi Bob - Funny little trivia note about the ravioli.  I especially liked the fact that the president actually helped prepare it.

That is a great little factoid, Pamela about the Ravioli!  I'm thinking, maybe that's what I'll make for dinner this Friday.
