Some have referred to Riverside, CA as a bedroom community, or as my daughter describes it the "boonies." However I enjoy living in Riverside, CA which was once the thriving heart of new construction in the Inland Empire. Now despite the doom and gloom of naysayers new home construction continues to hold on in Riverside. Sales no longer zoom with faster than light fleetness but they continue. As proof I offer the following communities:

Cielo by Richmond American Homes - a mountain top community surrounded by rolling hills, and offering city views. The pricing ranges from the 400's and up with single-story and two story floorplans.

Riverwalk Vista by Tri Pointe Homes & Artisan Communities - A hillside gated community offering a resort style community pool and picnic area. The three communities provide entry level and move-up housing with pricing ranging from 200's, high 300's and 400's. (Grand opening on September 24.)

Mission Grove by Standard Pacific Homes - Provides new home opportunities near the Orangecrest community of Riverside. The homes range from the low $300's to high $300's offering a single story plan and two story plans.

Some New Home Builders in Riverside have purchased communities/projects of existing homes which were not completed by the previous builders. For many the land was purchased during the height of the real estate bubble. The city was dotted with ghost towns of abandoned new home communities. It is good to see new life re-emerging within the city of Riverside.

Some communities such as Amberview by Tri Pointe Homes are offering fully furnished Model homes for sale as they clear out the old product before beginning to build new homes which have changed with new consumer demands.
