Make the most of life-------or not.

Tree in the SunsetYesterday,

Actually after the yesterdays

Hiding so many other yesterdays,

We inexplicably step out of the void.

We experience joy, we experience sadness,

We experience love, we experience anger,

We experience courage, we experience fear,.

We experience doubt, we experience faith,

We experience denial, we experience belief,

We experience epiphanies, we experience hope,

….....or not!

Experience is at the heart of it all.

Some among us are not even that lucky.

Tree in the FogWe smell the roses, we smell the garbage,

We taste the sweet lemon, we taste the bitter dandelion,

We see the fall colors, we see the winter clouds,

We feel the baby’s cheek, we feel the rough beard,

We hear the lover’s whisper, we hear the judge’s gavel,

We balance walking in the dark, we collapse losing our way,

….....or not!

Our senses are at the heart of it all.

Some among us are not even that lucky.

Inexplicably we step back into the void.

Before tomorrow,

Followed by tomorrows,

On top of so many more tomorrows.

Mr Charles,

I am so glad that I was not in that tree and naked when you took that photo.

Nutsy

Chahhlie, I find that we need to stop and feel/ see the experiences. So often by the end of the week, I can't believe it's there already and can't remember what I did during that time. Slow down and look/listen/feel is going to have to be my mantra...

Charles - you are apparently a talented poet, along with being a great home inspector.  The poetry does an excellent job of conveying a mood that your pictures enhance.

Jim, I sense that if we could truly grasp the amount of time that occurs before we arrive and after we leave---we would spend our time inbetween more wisely---or not

Nutsy---ready for the spit you mean?

Peg, it is a wrestle for sure

Steven, thanks---glad you enjoyed it---just stuff I like to fool around with a bit.

And, Kind Sir Philosophe, this is all for our experience and is all good.

Sometimes it might not seem that way, but learning aqbout the one side is learning about the other at the same time.
