One of the reasons I like visiting ActiveRain is for the variety of posts and comments. When you take a moment to consider that people all over the United States and Canada are commenting and that it is within a certain realm of mutual interest, well you have nothing less than a sweet online treat.

HOSTS AND POSTS

I like reading the different posts and have grown to like many of their authors too. I never know what mood or focus I may have until I log-in and begin the viewing and reviewing process. I then gravitate toward my interests. I am not disappointed either

Educational posts: Here you have more data and knowledge being shared than on any Real Estate exam plus more practical too. People on the front lines and in the business telling it like it is. Can't get any fresher than that

Fun posts: To me , this provides a rest stop, a slight allowable distraction for those that are too serious. It is a good balance and is necessary to break up the sometimes heavy subject matters

Rant post: I like it when someone gets something off their chest as opposed to keeping it inside. Let it rip and more often than not, they are not alone in their sharing either..risky, but rewarding

Gripe post: This allows someone to air their discontent with a person, place or thing and could bring about change if done properly. If not done properly, can sting like alcohol on a cut...

Uplifting posts: These type of posts do more good than we know. The contents keep working and have legs. Encouragement to be better or have heart while acting out our daily agendas are welcomed

Informative posts: Announcing an event, activity or a result from one to another interested party has value. It is a good mix to include. Being informed raises the bar...

Teaching post: Here, thoughtful pros share some of their moves when it comes to their specialties and the rest of us benefit from it. This is like a form of tithing or giving...

Local posts: This remains one of my favorites as it allows us into the heart of an area and the host of the post is our personal guide. It is like a living encyclopedia and valuable to those involved.

IT GETS EVEN BETTER TOO

There are many more categories and ideas for posts all of them good. One of the best things to come out of a post is the following which is up there with rating the experience literally. THE COMMENT SECTION

THE COMMENT OR COMMENTING

Here, people at random get to reply, share, agree, praise, disagree and compliment or enhance the post making it have more depth and meaning. Furthermore, the connection of many coming together from the result of one person posting is very satisfying indeed for all.

You're spot on about the comments. Sometimes the comments can really be more informative and enlightening than the original post.

Comments can often bring more depth and information to the original post. With the diversity here, it's hard not to get a lot of great points of view.

Richie- I do love the variety here.  It would get so boring if all we saw were market reports or listings.  And, I find the comments are just as enlightening.

Richie, I agree with you regarding the comments.  I love reading all of the different opinions and find them valuable.  You just never know how they may or may not affect you, just as the posts do.

Afternoon sir, Well said.

A rewarding comment on a well written piece is like a good job from your teacher when you just sweat through an oral report.

Good job..............keep up the good work

Enjoy the day

The bloggers I subscribe to tend to offer variety across the catagories, and I enjoy the mix. Only two things I would like to add. I could do without the rants - not that I don't understand the need - just have no need for any more negativity. Second, perhaps you should add the thought-provolking post catagory. I enjoy those who post about how good something could be, or those that post about something new that we might consider trying. Blogs that "float" ideas....one of the catagories I enjoy from you...

Hello..thank you for being who you are Fred...most delightful experience. On thought provoking posts...they are are my favorite and apparently yours too. Fred..we have such little time to explore all the magnificence around us. Let us gravitate toward excellence, adventure, mystery, and answers. Business and everyday stuff will always be there...but the other....now that's manna... life if you will...Thank you for sharing Fred and not just your comment either
