Let's talk about the cruel reality of today's Real Estate market... If you're a seller, it's not good. If you're a buyer, the time has never been better.

You've read all the news about home prices dropping.

You've seen interest rates on mortgages at historical lows for months on end now.

Just turn on the nightly news or search it on the internet. I'm not telling you anything you don't already know.

If you're waiting for home prices to decline even more, or interest rates to fall even lower, you might miss your opportunity.

Any economist worth their degree will tell you that trying to time the market makes bad financial sense.

You've been thinking about buying a new home. Don't try to time the market.

Larry - Larry, you're only 78 miles from me and our market is experiencing a very similar trend. NOW is the time folks.

Bryan - I think it's up to NAR and to us to stress the positive aspects of this down market. There is always two sides to every story. While now might not be a good time for sellers, buyers, with a realistic mindset, can get the home of their dreams at an affordable price.

Craig, sometimes it's not a matter of injecting them with the brains so much as a well applied hammer to the side of the head to loosen them up. People get a brain cramp and can't see the deal right there in front of them.
