Four reasons you should consider moving to Lexington Kentucky
#1 Lexington Kentucky is the number ONE best city in our United States for finding a job as reported in Forbes magazine in 2011.
"After surveying more than 18,000 employers in 100 metropolitan areas to find out who's hiring, who's firing and who plans to maintain their current staff levels in the second quarter of 2011, results showed that Lexington-Fayette County, Ky was the metropolitan area with the most optimistic forescast of all for hiring this past spring."
#2 Lexington Kentucky has the number TWO most educated workforce in the nation according to Business Facilities in 2008. "This ranking is based on the percentages of Lexington's workforce that are high school graduates or that have attained a bachelor's or more advanced degree."
#3 Lexington Kentucky is the 3rd best place to retire in the nation according to CNN Money, 2010. "Downtown Lexington boasts plenty of entertainment options for retirees, including the circa-1922 Kentucky Theatre - which shows independent and classic films - the Lexington Farmers Market, dozens of restaurants, and the Rupp Arena, home to the university's storied basketball program."
My wife and I have found Lexington to be a very inexpensive place to live compared to the Pacific Northwest. Taxes are lower, food is much cheaper, utilities are cheaper, gasoline is cheaper. In fact almost everything is cheaper except for automobile insurance.
When you decide to check out Lexington for a place to live please do not forget me. I would love to show you the city and help you find your new home in this great place to work or retire.

You make some great selling points for the Lexington, KY area. Also love the beautiful picture accompanying your blog.
David and Bonnie,
Do you do home inspections together. I don't think we have any couples doing home inspections here in Lexington but I would think it could really be an advantage.
