Today I had the pleasure of attending a full day of wonderful real estate agent training  hosted by my broker.

Technology for Real Estate Agents

The focus of today's training session was Technology for Real Estate Agents. The topics ranged from a "how to" session on electronic signatures to organizing your office to using Social Media.

One of the things I liked best about this day of training was that it was attended by over 80 real estate agents.  Some were new to the business; as few as two months, while others have been in the business for over 20 years.  As you all know I am a huge fan of ongoing training for real estate agents.  The world and our industry change much too quickly to think we can continue to do business the same way we did a year ago, let alone a decade ago.

Real Estate Agents Need Ongoing Training

No matter how long you have been a real estate agent, you need training.  I tell my children every single day to "learn something new" and I try to follow my own advice.  Although I am a real estate agent trainer, I can ALWAYS learn something new.  While I knew quite a bit of what was being discussed in today's training session, I was able to walk away with SEVERAL new things that I can implement immediately that should have a very positive impact on my business.

The Choice Is Yours

It's far too easy to do nothing...change nothing.  But this will have a staggering impact on your business in the long run. If you think you are too old to utilize Social Media as part of your marketing strategy, think again.  Social Media is here to stay, so get on the bandwagon now before you fall even farther behind.  If you think none of your clients will need an electronic signature, think again.

How Realtors Conduct Business Is Changing

No matter how many years you have been a real estate agent, you can always learn new ways to improve your business.  So the next time you see some real estate agent training that looks to be out of your comfort zone...sign up. I can almost guarantee that you will learn some valuable information that will help you work better, smarter and make you feel good.

Great post and very motivating. Yes, no matter how experienced and how long you have been a Realtor, you should always continue your training and not just what is required of you. The more you know the more you sell. The market and the ways that we can do our job change frequently and if you are not on top of the latest technology and rules, opportunities and more you are doing yourself and your customers a disservice!
