Realtor Safety: An Issue Not to be Taken Lightly

Every once in a while a disturbing piece of news surfaces about a Realtor getting seriously hurt or murdered. Today, another tragic incident surfaced in the news today. I cannot even begin to stress how important safety is in our profession. Our job requires us to put ourselves out there, and so we really need to take precautionary measures seriously in order to maintain safety and security not only for ourselves, but also for the sake of our families.

I know that a lot of real estate offices have security policies in place when showing properties to a customer for the first time. Tragedies like this happen a lot more than I care to admit, but sometimes it takes a high profile death to hit the message home for many of us. Stay safe!
