Affordable luxury has always been available in the Dallas-Fort Worth market coupled with stable job growth.  CNN/Money predicted in September that Dallas is one of the TOP 10 markets for appreciation and growth over the next two years.  NOW IS A GOOD TIME TO BUY IN Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex market!

Hi Jackie--People do get more bang for their buck in Texas no doubt about it. You can spend less than $200K and get 2500+ square feet of upgraded quality plus a pool in a good area.

According to the report, many major markets are still struggling, but I was surprised to see that some of the declines weren't as bad as I thought.  For example, Boston was down by less than 4%.  Tampa ranks the highest in the declines at just over 10%.

Sherri--I called in to the showing service this morning and had to hold for about 10 minutes.   That hasn't happened in a while.  Media rantings aside, that's the first good sign of all to me.  I have shifted quite a bit of attention to the short sale market recently as I think that's where the action is going to be for a while.  Did you see Melissa Grants blog on water vs wine?  I thought of you when I read it!  LOL!  Send me the info on your listings and if you don't want to tackle buyers in the 817, just hollar.  We'll take them on referral and get them done.  I might have a listing coming up in Frisco and I won't be working those buyers so I'll be sending them your way.

Hi Charles--you're right!  Up is Up!  We're still bombarded around here with foreclosures and I expect that it will continue to increase over the next year but it is what it is and for now, we'll take the good news wherever we can get it.
