5 Comments on Should I Take My Home Off The Market For The Holidays?
As crazy as it sounds I've actually done a real estate transaction on Christmas morning! Buyers are always looking for that perfect home 365 days a year!
I believe in being a contrarian. I love working during the holidays because the buyers and sellers are much more serious.
The buyers looking at homes during this time of year are the most serious and the most motivated. This is the time to keep the house on the market since if there is a showing - they aren't browsers but serious buyers!
I think having a home all decorated adds a lot during the holidays. Makes it really feel like home.
We moved from the UK to the USA twice, here to stay now. The first time was the day after Christmas, we were here looking at homes by the 27th! The second time was October 31st. Again looking at homes during Novemeber and this time we closed on December 19th.
So absolutely there are buyers year round, even when there is snow on the ground.
