This year has brought a lot of change to my life. The biggest one is that my mother and grandmother moved here to Northern Virginia from Arkansas to be closer to my husband, kids and me. They got here on September 24, and it has been such a pure delight to get to see them several times a week, rather than twice a year. We've made up for quite a bit of lost time. They've seen both my sons play in their soccer and football games, we've enjoyed many dinners, lunches and simple visits together. They've hosted my boys for play dates/babysitting and been able to spoil them rotten just like grandmas love to do. My family has a big hole in it since my father's passing in May 2010. Bringing us all together has helped patch that gap a bit, and together, we feel as though he is smiling down on us, celebrating our newfound happiness in being together.
Another added bonus for which I am incredibly thankful, is that my mother is now my new assistant. I've needed an assistant for a long time, and am so lucky to have her by my side, helping me get my business better organized to best serve my clients.
I am going to end 2011 as my best business year yet, going over my sales volume goal to hit $10 Million by 1 or possibly more, with a full pipeline and even some closings set for 2012. I am very thankful for my loyal past and current clients who refer me to friends and family and keep me in business. I am also thankful for the technology that has allowed my business to gain better exposure through blogging and internet advertising and now IEXACT contact management system. My new assistant's first big task was researching and getting me set up with a CRM system and so far, so good with IEXACT. Docusign has also been a part of that technology enabling me to get more accomplished daily through my transactions. The efficiency gained with "Docusigning" contract paperwork has saved me loads of time and made life for my clients easier as well. This time last year, before using it, I would have to scan, fax or drive around to get a simple set of initials. Now, I just "Docusign It" and it's done.
I was already a fortunate person, having a wonderful husband/life partner/soul mate who completely keeps me sane and on track along with two healthy and bright young boys and a thriving business I love. Having the rest of my small family here has made the circle complete, and for that I am incredibly grateful.
