Motivational Power Quote

Pushing the Envelope

“An error doesn’t become a mistake until

you refuse to correct it.”

Orlando A. Battista, author, Canadian-American chemist

As I see it . . . . . . .

Pushing the envelope

You can push the envelope to stretch your limits and to strive for greater success as you do you will leave your comfort zone and risk an occasional error. Or you can sit back in your comfort zone risk nothing and gain nothing.

It’s a personal choice on which path you choose follow.

When you’re stretching your limits you are moving out of your comfort zone trying new things and expanding your activities. As a result of you expanding your activities there is always a risk of an error.

Errors are those things we encounter on our success journey. No one likes making an error and we do our best to avoid them but in reality they do happen.

Push the envelope and you will expand your horizon. You will find new and exciting opportunities waiting for you that were not available to you by staying in your comfort zone.

An error is temporary condition that creates a learning experience and if the condition arises again you will be able to draw on your past experience to not to repeat the same error in the future.

When you’re pushing the envelope errors will occur, don’t look at them as roadblocks look at them as temporary conditions. Correct them to the best of your ability and put it behind you and move on.

Sometimes in my life I feel I'm on the treadmill, facing challenges, making decisions, fine tuning my decision and then correcting any mistakes. That becomes a very full life...

Thank you for the quote. I'm reflecting on my sister-in-law who is really ill. I wish I could push the envelope for her, but can't. We can use a lot of prayers.

Errors do happen but my goal is always to learn from the experience and not let it happen again. Thanks Lou.

Very true.  We all exercise an occasional case of bad judgment but learning from the experience and correcting the error is how we grow.

Lou,

If we didn't make errors they wouldn't put erasers on pencils. Errors are a way of learning...the first time.
