The results are in for the NVAR Board race!

 I LOST.

BUT SO CLOSE! Out of the 1,400 Realtor votes, I was just 200 votes short of capturing a seat on the 2008 NVAR Board of Directors! 

If that wasn't good spin, I don't know what is! Isn't it funny how easily data can be manipulated.

Basically we were dead last!!

 

Anyhow, congratulations to Laura Fall, Sue Bower, Pat Kline, Scott Fortney and Trudy Severa (Here were all the candidates) 

My goal is to have them all blogging by the end of the year. Do you think this is doable? 

So next year when I bug you to get 10-20 people to vote, you'll sign up right?

Frank, sorry about your loss. You did have my vote. Nice spin, though. By the way, I've known Laura Fall for several yeats and she's a wonderful person, Realtor, and extremely active and dedicated to NVAR. It's no surprise that she got the most votes. Kudos to you for trying and putting in the effort and getting your message out there.

Too bad, we have had some fantastic Realtors not get elected too. The BIG companies make their people show up and vote, so you either have to be well known, because you do a ton of deals, serve on lots of committees or be in a big company. I like you Frank !

You WON in many ways that defy the final vote count for this particular contest.  You reached out to a lot of people who reached back.  People know you now who never heard of you before.  Gandhi said we have to be the change we want to see in the world.  And that's what you're doing.  One person and relationship at a time. Who says that you won't be far more effective doing it your way than through a board seat?  You won.
