Marge, it was just a few years ago that I worked with people that didn't have a computer! Technology is going to pass us all up if we don't act now! I plan to do my best to keep up and that's saying a lot! Thank you for coming by!
Deb, great job here in getting this out there. I posted to FB, Twitter and Linked-In. I also download the files so that I can do what you have done. You so rock. I really appreciate this work and I am so glad I live in the RAIN. What a boost for our business. Thanks for the incentive and encoouragement....will be working on same. Good information cannot be distributed too much. Viral....is good!
Deb , great job getting out some information that we should all be aware of, and thanks for the link
Liz, thanks! Yep, and we have to figure out a way to keep up!
Jeanean, it's so good to see you here. I knew you would do what you could! I hope you are well and happy my friend! Thank you for reading.
Chris, thank you too sir. I hope you study this as it holds a great deal of importance in our futures!
Send out the word!
Deb
I gotta reblog that post, but it happened so much today that I was waiting for tomorrow. Just hope my local competition doesn't catch it. (that's just wrong of me isn't it?)
Tammy! You're here! I am amazed and how are you feeling? Any relief? You of course know I am not talking about the reblogging...snicker. Please keep me up to date. I still have to answer your email and I will tomorrow. It deserves much time to reflect. Thank you my friend! I will speak to you soon!
Oh, and I will reblog it tomorrow too...great minds think alike!

Deb I read Bob's post and thought it was right on. I've been working on developing a plan for 2012 and I see that some of this 'stuff that is supposedly' so great really is not for my business. This is the perfect time of year for agents to pop on these webinars and plan for 2012.

Some pretty astounding facts in this post Deb, I'll have to jump over to read the whole thing. I bet many of the same facts can be true for other industries, like construction.
Hey Deb! I have been out of touch on AR...but have continued to get results from post from 3 years ago! It is amazing how they continue to work. I hope you are well.
Deb, I blog like crazy, have several websites, work my patootie off and yet ActiveRain has really helped put me on the map, because I KNOW that other than direct referrals, my biz comes from the internet! But, thanks (again) to ActiveRain, I discovered how I can reach out even more in these hard times. It's been a tough year, but I have sold three properties this month, got a new listing and within 2 weeks, have buyers (that found me through ActiveRain, thank you very much) and we are in Sale Pending. I just had a fella call me today who found me through Alta Vista--he swears by it.
I have to thank the mentors at ActiveRain who have taught me, guided me, held my hand and e-mailed when I didn't know what the heck I was doing, but had the gumption to keep trying!
I too found these stats quite mind boggling. I've never been the norm and am quite happy to remain an enigma in the real estate world of stats. Rich agents being male? Ha!
Thanks for your post and the very interesting information. Many real estate professionals need to update their marketing efforts.
Enjoy the season of Thanksgiving and be sure to have your camera in hand to capture the special moments.

What a great post about the AR post. You summed it up nicely and brought out the interesting, if not ironic, methods that are still being used. Ironic because NAR statistics show that most searches start on the Internet. I suppose for listing agents the post cards, door knockings, open houses work well. Enjoyed this read!
Thanks, Deb.
You put it all out. I am always a little sceptical about statistics...
Deb fantastic post, it is one thing to look at statistics but another to explain and add detail to them. Some were great reminders and others were eye opening. Thanks for sharing on such a great topic for agents.
Interesting numbers. And as for the 'question of the day'... no idea why FB would be on spellcheck and google is not. hmmmm..
