Welcome, new neighbors (and new friends!) to Fishhawk Lake!

It was a picture-perfect day in every respect. I headed over early yesterday morning to heat up the house for my buyers who just bought two properties (house and adjoining lot) here at Fishhawk Lake. The sun was glimmering through autumn-toned leaves, the fog lifting, but still lingering around the tree tops and I was just hours away from welcoming our newest additions, the Barlows to Fishhawk Lake. I couldn’t have ordered a more perfect November day!

They brought their sweet kitty, Addie who was a bit ADDLED by the drive and all of the hoopla, but she took it all in and even let me scratch her 21 lb. self later. New Neighbors at Fishhawk Lake

I gave them my favorite closing present, a Gurgle Pot in moss to match the marble counters in their kitchen (sorry, I didn’t get a photo, but here's mine in red),

and Cheryl giggled every time she moved the water in it. The Gurgle Pot

We indulged in a glass of celebratory wine, one of their favorites and I was their first “guest”. I felt very special.

They have been over-the-top excited to be here and I look forward to many Fishhawk Lake memories shared with my buyers and friends at Fishhawk Lake. (And one of the best things is that my neighbors sent them my way as they were cruising the community one day)!

Debb~Guess what? This was my old house! My hubby and I spent time with them last nite and it was the first time Larry'd been in it since we moved out. It was a little weird for him.

Cindy~I love my new neighbors and they have found others in the community that know friends of theirs...it really IS a small world.

Rob~You would have a plethora of barns to capture along with some mighty fine fishing out here on the Lake.

Rose~I've actually sold this TWICE since July of last year. The folks who bought it from us (it was ours, along with the extra lot) had some sudden health issues and couldn't use it. It must be a good home to be able to sell it twice in this economy.

Gary~What's nice is that my hubby and I can tell the new owners/friends all about the history of the place and how things work, because we owned it for several years before buying "on the lake".

A~You obviously get the concept of a slower pace of living and I thought your take on the speed limit was darling! I tell everyone about the speed limit, because we have children and dogs walking through the community all of the time.

Mimi~Goosebumps--I LOVE IT! I have your room waiting along with your glass of wine...when's the flight getting booked?

C&C~It was such a glorious morning that I actually went back and got my camera. More photos to be coming in a future Autumn Foliage post (tomorrow, I think).

Robert~I'm prejudice, because I think the same thing. Maybe not fulltime, like me, but at least a getaway!

William~I always appreciate your approval of my photos.

Lauren~I tried to get more photos of Addie, up close and really showing off her grandiose bod, but she wasn't feeling photogenic that day.
