Yep! It's Daylight Savings Time Again. Yay! We get an extra hour all to us for absolutely nothing! Starting Sunday morning at 2:00 AM, we have to roll our clocks back to 1:00 AM. I know we aren't going to jump out of bed at 2 AM to reset the darn clock. We all do it before going to bed on Saturday.

The only problem with this is how many clocks we have to reset. The alarm clock in our rooms, the VCR or DVD player clock, the computer (unless you have the update already), the microwave, the stove, the cars, the wall clocks, etc...... Seems like it may take an hour to change every clock, but just in case it doesn't my question to you is:

What are you going to do with your extra hour?

Here are some suggestions:

  • SLEEP IN! (TRADITIONAL, I KNOW)
  • READ A BOOK (AREN'T THOSE THE THINGS THAT HAVE LOT OF PAPER AND WORDS IN THEM?)
  • WATCH A MOVIE (WOOHOO! WASTE THOSE BRAIN CELLS)
  • TELEVISION (SEE ABOVE)
  • SPEND TIME WITH THE FAMILY (WHO ARE THESE PEOPLE? THEY LOOK FAMILIAR.....)
  • GET OUT FOR THE DAY (I WORK HOW LONG AND YOU WANT ME TO GET OUT? KEEP DREAMING)
  • MOW THE LAWN (I KNOW I NEED TO, BUT THE GRASS LOOKS GREAT AT 9 INCHES TALL....WHERE'S THE CAR?)
  • CHANGE THE OIL IN THE CAR THAT IS PAST DUE(IF YOUR CAR STATES "IT HAS BEEN 12,000 MILES SINCE YOUR LAST OIL CHANGE, YOU MAY WANT TO DO THIS!)

So what are you going to do?

I think of the "extra hour" as an illusion.  But in theory, it's nice to grab an extra hour of sleep.

I'll be getting an hour of over time as I work from 12midnight - 8am at a company that I've been with for 27 1/2 years.  I'll be able to add those few extra dollars to my Real Estate marketing budget.

And please everyone....    My Real Estate clients DO get taken care of.

The beauty of living in Arizona is that our clock never changes.  It is consistently Mountain Standard Time every day of the year!  Consistency is a good thing.  Take consistency to heart and life improves at any time!
