Smoking Aces - A pleasant surprise

Has anyone seen this movie? It has an all-star cast which in my book usually means a boring, embarrasing piece of work. It was actually quite good. A little gory for me, I don't like torture scenes but overall there were some really funny characters and scenes. Ray Liotta in any cast means I'll watch the movie but he looks strange in this one - bad plastic surgery?

Todd the movie sounds interesting. I've passed it up a few times thinking it would be boring. However, after reading your review I think I"ll check it out next time I come across it. Thanks.

Danny and Vincent - It was pretty good. I didn't expect much but was pleasantly surprised. There are some good one-liners and the action is non-stop all be it really really gory.

I found it a little too slick, similar to a Quentin Tarentino (sp) movie. Jeremy Piven is great in the movie. He is fast becoming one of my favorite actors.

Keith- Actually Jeremy Piven IS great in that movie. It was too slick and you are right very Quentin Tarentino-esque but it was better than I expected. The last movie I saw with about 10 big names in it was Pret A Porter there was so much expectation and nothing happened.
