Don't you want to kick yourself when a solution has been right under your nose? Like, "...Read the directions, dummy (to yourself).
Recently a Fellow Rainer posted a blog and commented to me that he was trying to stay away from "subscriptions". I lost track, sorry to say and could not find his blog so I will not cite him. However, I thought of him when I realized today I had a solution within my software that I paid over $200 set up and $25.00 a month in subscription for.
I had been focusing on using One Note 2007, which I love, but could not get it to work with my MLS or Zip Forms to my satisfaction, which is why I had an outside subscription. In January when I bought my Gateway Convertible, I continued the subscription without testing the software against the software I use.
What I found is that with Vista for Business and Office 2007, Windows Journal takes care of forms easier than anything I could have imagined being created. Send any form to Windows Journal Printer. Open it up. Then you can type by inserting a text bar, sign and/or write , then email, fax or print copies. You can also change to a "Non changeable" copy before you send it.
If I wanted to really save money here and there I could download all forms from our state association and type them in Journal. (Not renew Zip Forms or RED).
I am slightly chagrined to report my discovery because I think that was the point of creating the portable tablet other than making notes on the fly.
