Pam, The National Geographic map doesn't show California as part of their normal habitat -- but I guess everyone has to go to California at least once. LOL

And there is a lot of room for people in Wyoming if people want to come.  In fact, the Pronghorns probably outnumber the people.

Joan, Thank you.  it seems that I often get close to them in Wyoming but this is the closest.

Endre,  Thank you.  I'm glad that you like another of my photos.  I enjoy taking them.  I'd love to get a video of a Pronghorn someday --- they love to race cars.  I've had them run along side of me at up to almost 60 mph.

John, Thank you.  I appreciate you stopping by and your comment.

Brian, Thank you.  I've always liked the Pronghorns --- especially when I watch them run.

Toni, Thank you.  This is probably a male because of the dark hair at the angle of his jaw and the horns are so large.  The horns on the female would also be much smaller.

Debra, Thank you.  I also appreciate the feature -- it is always special feeling to get featured in Active Rain Animal Photography.

Patricia,  Thank you.  Beautiful animals are inspiring to me too.  Thanks for stopping by.

Ron & Alexandra,  Thank you.  There is so much beauty in our wildlife.  I am always amazed at people who just take them for granted.

Carl & Ceil,  Thank you.  It does almost look posed  -- although he was probably watching me to see what I would do.  It is kind of fun to think that he might have been just as interested in me as I was in him.

Marge, They are magnificent.  I love to watch them run too.  I haven't done any video but I keep thinking that it would be worthwhile getting a video showing how fast they go.

Kristin, Thank you.  I hadn't thought about it but they do remind me of the gazelle - which are also extremely fast runners.

Karen, Thank you. I do have a photo tip for you though.  My college professor in photography said, "The only difference between an amateur and a professional photographer is that the professional takes a lot more photos.  If I send you on assignment for one photo, you should take at least 20 or 30 shots of what you want".

So especially with digital just take lots and lots of photos and delete most of them.  I bet you get some photos that you love.

Thanks for sharing your photographs.  Life is good.

Have an outstanding week and be sure to have your camera in hand for those special moments.

We had beautiful weather on Sunday and Dolores and I drove into Washington, DC to visit the National Zoo, with cameras in hand.
