He's So Proud-A Lighter Note to End a Solemn Weekend

 

I wanted to post this sweet picture to end this very solemn Veteran's Day Weekend on a lighter note. This cute little pooch was seen at The Shops of Wiregrass at their Dogtoberfest costume contest.  I don’t know if he won; there were so many contestants that we couldn’t stay till the end; but he deserved to. (Judy Kincaid in comments said he won the Grand Champion Award.)

I was there.  That little dog and his owner were very close to where I was sitting.  I was amazed at the fact that he stayed in that Jeep the entire time...even when his owner wheeled it acrossed the stage.  Since his owner had on a camoflauge shirt, I assume that he was entered in the pet/owner look-a-like category or even the cutest.  When the winners of the category were called, I was shocked that he didn't win anything. 

After all the winners in each category had been revealed, they announced that it was time to give out the Judge's Choice Awards....with the top price being the Grand Champion. 

I am pleased to announce that this little fella drove home with the Grand Champion trophy!
