Rossmann's Christmas Tree FarmRossmann's Christmas Tree Farm in Blanchester Ready for Another Holiday Season!

For most of us, Christmas sneaks up on us and we hustle to get those plans made and the presents bought.  But if you run a Christmas Tree Farm like the Rossmann family, the Christmas season is an all year round planning event.  Planting those seedlings, grooming the trees, making sure everything is growing just so, all so you and your family can find that perfect Christmas tree to be the centerpiece of your decorations.

Rossmann's Tree Farm EntranceSo when it's time to get your annual Christmas tree this year, perhaps it's time to skip that scrawny excuse for a tree you'll find at the big box stores and make it a family event with a family owned and operated Christmas tree farm.

Rossman's Christmas Tree Farm opens up the day after Thanksgiving, Friday November 25th from 9-5, other Fridays noon-5, and Saturdays and Sundays 9-5 through December 18th.

You can cut your own Scotch Pine, White Pine and Canaan Fir, with prices Rossmann's Tree Farmranging from $30-85 depending on the type and size of the tree.

Rossmann's provides the handsaw and a tree sled, and will shake the tree and bale it to make it easier to transport home.  Make sure you get the squirrels out, don't want a repeat of Chevy Chase's Christmas Vacation now do we?

While you're there, enjoy a cup of FREE hot chocolate, and you can shop for wreaths, swags and primitive style crafts in the store.

Michelle, I mostly remember going to the tree lots as a kid :)  I did do some work planting Christmas trees in high school, my American History teacher had a tree farm as a side business!  Bill

Dorie, Our Christmas tree post from last year resonated with the tree farms, and Pati Rossmann was kind enough to reach out to us this year with updates and pictures we could use, so a win-win for both of us!

Donna, Probably shipping them all over Canada and the U.S. aren't they?  Noticed this morning the local Boy Scout tree lot had their frame up for when they open after Thanksgiving.

We have tree farms here in South Louisiana surprised huh....not as beautiful covered in snow like yours but I do remember taking my children and it was all about the experience of finding and cutting the tree down and the fresh smell that filled the house!

Anita, It'll be here in a blink :)

Marilyn, I put some time in on a West Central Louisiana tree farm growing up, and we didn't have snow there either.  Adds a really nice touch to the farm here.  There's no substitute for a real tree :)

As a kid we always went with my Dad and had a fresh cut Christmas tree.  It's been years..........I may just do that this year for myself.  Thanks for the memory.
