For the past two days here in Newport NC, we have been dealing with wind left over from Hurricane Noel. It's November! Yesterday we had an office lunch. I went to pick up the food and had to pass a business that rents inflatible jumping machines and lawn decorations. They had a blow up turkey with about 75 ropes holding it to keep it from flying away. I couldn't stop laughing. The thing was actually airborne! Today is a little better, but is still taking some getting used to. It is hard for us here because we will go from the 80's-90's one day and then 40's-50's the next day. When the weather is "not so nice", we have fewer people wanting to look at property. They were talking on the news last night about how the Christmas season started yesterday for several businesses. As I drove by several businesses on my way to work this morning, I saw more cars than usual for this time of morning. Maybe they are on to something.
