Blue Ridge, a quaint mountain town, located in Fannin County nestled in the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains of North Georgia. Getting here takes approximately 1 1/2 hours from Atlanta, 1 hour from Chattanooga Tennessee and central to Asheville North Carolina, Gatlinburg Tennessee, and Pigeon Forge Tennessee.

In the early 1900s, visitors from nearby cities traveled to Blue Ridge by train (founded in 1886) to take advantage of the pure mineral waters since the town was once considered an elite health resort. Today, Blue Ridge welcomes visitors from all over the country and the world to shop for authentic Appalachian arts and crafts, pottery, quilts and more. Visitors are attracted to Blue Ridge for the very essence of a time gone by. Leave your cares behind and step back into yesteryear in our quaint town of Blue Ridge. Enjoy our mountain charm, tranquility and relaxed lifestyle, but be careful, you just might want to "move 2 North Georgia"!

Downtown Blue Ridge offers a variety of happenings, among them are shopping, eating and equally as important is just resting in the city park, breathing in the fresh mountain air and watching happy people go by.

Donna, I wanted to let you know I walked into a lovely card shop today where they have all kinds of interesting, beautiful things and found a sign that said "Blue Ridge Arts."   They had a beautiful selection of cards, calanders and some other things I am going to go back for.  I thought of you and wondered if that's where they came from?  If so they are sure making a splash here, they are just lovely!

Carole:  That's very interesting and I'm not sure if that's connected with Blue Ridge here but sounds like it very well could be.  It's nice to know when someone sees or hears something about Blue Ridge, they think of me.  Thanks so much.

Tracy and Teri:  You will have to come for a visit sometime.  I would love to see you gals.  Thank you for your comment.

James:  What an awesome comment - thank you.

Keith and Robin:  Not too sure about the slideshow but thought it would be a new twist.  Thanks for visiting.
