Hello Anita, I love it..Dog eat Dog world and its true. We all do have way to much noise in our life..I need some of those Bose noise canceling head phone..suppose it would work? Thanks for sharing!
Good Morning Dori, No doubt a positive attitude and outlook can be contagious. You are an inspiration to us all Dori, we appreciate your guidance and input. Glad your have a successful year. You go Girl!
Toni, Love your analogy of life's a treadmill..Sometimes It goes into overdrive and other times were going downhill. Life is a great ride, get on and enjoy it!
LOL Will, Im not sure I was talking about "Chasing Tail" as opposed to chasing our own tail. Either is work I suppose.
Hey Jared, I think we have balance in our lives when this scenario does not happen as often, we all need balance.
DJ, Bingo! I must have my list..if I don't I get lost in the shuffle, Its as if I don't have a direction. Yes put it on the list so we can draw that big black line through it upon completion. I agree we should all paws for reflection.. Great to see you this morning!
I completely agree! When I know I'm not getting anywhere, I take a step back, watch a movie, kill a little time, and then go back to whatever it was I was working on. That pause often resets my thinking and I come back with fresh ideas and a better attitude.
Hi Bryan, Sometimes it best just to step away, regroup and reset the brain and adjust the attitude. Well said my friend! Thanks for dropping in this morning!
Have I told you that your font, graphic and post layout is visually awesome? Well it is. I will probably be forced to say this again.
If a little down time is good, a lot of down time may be even better in my case. I wonder if I should be posting on ActiveRain during my November and December leave.
Enjoy the season of Thanksgiving and be sure to have your camera in hand to capture those special moments.
Playing Lions
We visited the National Zoo in Washington, DC on a beautiful day, Sunday, November 13, 2011. The lions were enjoying the mild weather. Photograph by Roy Kelley using a Canon PowerShot G11 camera.

Hi John. Roy has the right idea. Take a break and forget about chasing your tail.
HI Steve and Jan, You have indeed expressed this before but I still like hearing it. Hey if I can get something..anything right I love hearing about it. Thank you for letting me know, I suspect if you like a lot more do. I wont change a thing! Thanks!
Hi Roy, I think these two lions are chasing each others tail. A great shot and it looks like it was a perfect day for the zoo. We are all glad your posting, we would miss you if stopped. Keep on Blogging!
Hey Belinda, I would love to stop but this business keeps demanding my time and energy, but hey that is what I signed up for. All is good! Great pic!
John this is such a true post for so many of us!! Sometimes I do have to just take a break. Yes, it will take me longer to get that project done, but I may feel better at tackling it when I have fully re-energized first. SUGGGEST!!! :)
John I love that graphic! I think everybody feels like that at some point.
Oh most definitely John! I do believe that 80-20 Rule needs to be revised and people need to consider what percentage of their time is spent chasing their tail?
And to think, I've spent the last week blaming it on the Full Moon.
Blue Screen - Computer crashed - had to get a new hard drive.
Cell phone - couldn't get it to do anything - had corrupted software - had to get a new one.
Got my laptop returned from the manufacturer - had to get my Microsoft Works uploaded - FOR A CHARGE.
Got my new Cell Phone - had to make a trip to the store to figure out how to work the new buttons.
Lost BOTH contact lenses - had to make a trip to the Eye Doctors
Doc gave me temporary lenses - will have to make several trips to get new lenses adjusted to my eyes that haven't been checked in a while.... need I say more!
This gal is chasing her tail!!!
Patricia
Good morning John, thanks for the timely post! I often feel like I'm chasing my tail and need to step away for a few moments. Not today though, I'm pushing through.....
Great advice John. I did just that on Monday. Shut the computer down and went out for a convertible ride to clear the cobwebs. It was GRAT!
Last I checked, my tail was right where it was supposed to be...and I can't even see it, let alone chase it.
Nice post....
John, yes down time is always good. That is why I have been slacking in the blog writing this past week...uh or month. I need to get the motivation rolling again. Thanks for your blog!
Hi John.
One must have time for work and time for fun...
YIKES! How did you know?! Are you and Debbie stalking TPM and me again?! :))))
John, I absolutely agree with you! Downtime is something I am not very good at, but I definitely see the need for it. Thanks for the reminder! I could use some downtime right now.
