Do you see the glass half full or half empty?

Do you see the glass half full or half empty?

Glass half full

Do you tend to notice those around you for their shortcomings or do you notice them for their triumphs?  Are you a glass half full or half empty type of person?  If you think about it every situation is the same, the only thing that makes it different is our personal view of the situation.

Choosing to have the idea that there is no such thing as a glass half empty is the first step in achieving positive programming.  Becoming aware of our thoughts and learning how to channel them to the positive gives us the freedom we so desperately want. Suddenly life starts to becomes easier,  it starts to flow and we notice the little things that were not there before. Suddenly life is exactly what we dreamed it to be.

I myself am a 'half empty' kind of person, I need to learn to be more 'half fulll' like my business partner and wife.  Life seems to be so much calmer when you are in the 'half full' mode!

Hi Amy, Nice blog. I think most everyone needs a reminder now and then. Thanks for sharing your thoughts. I will tell you - when I looked at the picture I really did see it as half full.

Hi Amy - Good thought provoking post.  Some days I'm a half full kind of guy other days half empty.  But I must say I try to stay on the upbeat side of life.

LOL! I have to agree with Pam Miller (#5). Most of the time I see the pretty blue background, the lovely stemware, and the glass half FULL.... and then there are those days..........

YIKES~

Hi Amy,  Half full half empty, a dynamic play, seems to start out one way and switch to various degrees during the day as you go about your tasks and experience varying degrees of accomplishment.  The challenge would be to keep grounded and make good decisions as to how it is viewed and how it is projected to others on your behalf.  Often, a smile either to someone or over the phone or via messages will turn the projection.

Amy...gotta see the glass half full....... being optimistic in life is "key" to being happier, healthier, and having more empathy for others.  I have been studying our brain the past few weeks, and it is so fascinating that we really do control our reactions to our feelings. Once you truly understand how the brain functions, keeping optimistic is very important to creating more joy for ourselves.

Definitely. Well, maybe. Hmmm, most of the time. But, sometimes :) I usually have a half-full attitude but sometimes we see through the glass darkly. Have a glass full of sunshine today, Amy.
