Harvest Festival SacramentoThis weekend, November 18-20, the Harvest Festival comes to Sacramento, at Cal Expo, in Pavilion Hall.  The Harvest Festivals are the largest indoor art and craft shows on the west coast, featuring over 24,000 American handmade items.  This is their 39th year and there will be hundreds of exhibitors.

You’ll find jewelry, pottery, original art, toys, photography, textiles, bath and beauty products, clothing, home décor, and other surprises.  This link will take you to a gallery of the artists with a little about their works.

Plus there will be booths with specialty foods, olive oils, fudges, marinades and other great eats, with sample tastings.

Here’s a great way to kick start your holiday gift shopping or to pick up some special goodies for Thanksgiving, or just spend some time enjoying the art and the music.  There will also be drawings for some great prizes.

In addition to strolling entertainers and musicians, there will be stage performances by the Cash Tribute band and Mad Dash, a rock ‘n’ roll variety band.  You will find the works of local artists, and Georgia Bockhoven, a local author who has sold 4 million copies of her books worldwide and will be signing copies of her newest book, “The Year Everything Changed” at the show.

The event hours are 10:00 am – 6:00 pm on Friday and Saturday, and 10:00 am-5:00 on Sunday.  Tickets are $9.00 for adults, $7.00 for seniors (62+) and $4.00 for ages 13-17.  Children 12 and under are free if accompanied by an adult.  One ticket is good for all three days!  That’s a good thing because there will be so much to see that it might take all weekend to see it all.

Even better:  The Sacramento Harvest Festival has once again partnered with Elk Grove Food Bank Services to offer a $2 off discount admission coupon to anyone who brings a non-perishable food donation to the show. Elk Grove Food Bank

The mission of the Elk Grove Food Bank Services is to provide essential resources and food security to overcome hunger and human need.

So come on out to Cal Expo this weekend for a fun time!

Cal Expo is at 1600 Exposition Blvd, Sacramento 95815. Parking is $10, and the best entry to use for this event is the east gate.

Thanks for stopping by, guys.  This is really a great event.  If you ever have the Harvest Festival come to your area, make sure to attend.  They are usually indoors at convention centers or pavilions at fair grounds or something similar.

Our biggest fall festival is tomorrow, but it's only a one-day festival.
