October property sales were 38, up 5.6% from 36 in October of 2010.
October 2011 sales were at a mid level level compared to October 2010 and 2009.
October YTD sales of 539 are running .6% ahead of last year’s year-to-date sales of 536.
The total inventory of properties available for sale as of October was 377 equal to 377 September 2011.
A lower MSI (month’s supply of inventory) is more beneficial for sellers while a higher MSI is better for buyers. The October 2011 MSI of 12.6 months was at its highest level compared with October 2010 and 2009.
