I love to help our Westchester customers with their flooring needs - carpet, hardwood, tile, refinishing wood floors. I will do whatever I can to find the best solution for them.
...But, I can't change time and I can't help you if you haven't planned ahead. Many forget that it takes time to order product - usually 2 weeks...sometimes I can get it here in 1 week, but not always. If it's unfinished hardwood, I can often get it there in 2 days, but don't forget it needs to acclimate for 2 days. Oh, and it's not like my guys are just sitting around waiting. We have to plan the project with our crews. Usually, we need a week notice (sometimes, but not always, we can do it sooner). Oh, and if we are refinishing your hardwood floors, remember that the process takes several days to dry.
Further, this is our BUSIEST time of the year, so we are pretty much double & triple booked.
So, if you're calling me the middle of this week (like so many are), and looking to have the work done before Thanksgiving, think again. I can't wish for the carpet to get here any sooner, and I can't wish for the hardwood to acclimate faster, and I can't make the polyurethane dry any faster (unless of course you want an inferior end product).
Also, if you have left your project to the last minute...at the busiest time of year....guess who will be available????Those that are desperate. So, either plan ahead next year, or consider being flexible with your timing...or,, of course, you can go to those other guys that charge more and do a worse job.
