Peters Township Library Events in McMurray PA

Have you been to the Peters Township Library?  If you live in the area, you really should stop by.  They have a great kid’s area and even a teen room.  The events they have there are perfect for all ages.  From little kids to adults, for play or for learning, the Peters Township library is the place to be.  You can even check out a book on selling your home in Peters Township or decorating tips when you want your Peters Township home to be on the market.

They even have a great selection of online resources including eBooks & Audiobooks plus an online book club. Just visit the Peters Township Digital Media Library.  You can even take out one of the new LeapPad Explorers for the kids.  Both of mine saw it there and put it on their Christmas list.

TREE LIGHTING CEREMONY AND HOLIDAY PARTY

When: Sunday, December 4, 2011
Time: 6:00 p.m.

Join us at the library for the annual Tree Lighting Ceremony and Holiday Party, held in partnership with the Peters Township Parks and Recreation Department. Festivities will include lighting and decorating the outdoors township tree at 6:00, followed by holiday caroling. Refreshments, visits with Santa, and holiday crafts for children will also be offered in the library. It’s a terrific way to get in the holiday spirit and spend time with family and friends!

EDIBLE HOLIDAY TREATS

Ages: For kids and parents of all ages
When: Thursday, December 8, 2011
Time: 6:30 – 7:15 p.m.

Make beautiful and edible holiday treats with your family. Santa never had better taste or tasted better! Register in the Children’s Department.

GIFT WRAPPING PARTY

Ages: For kids and parents of all ages
When: Monday, December 12, 2011
Time: 6:00 – 8:00 p.m.

Having trouble sneaking around to wrap gifts for that special someone? Bring them to the Peters Township library! We’ll provide the festive wrapping paper, tape, scissors, and bows — you provide the presents! Let your holiday spirit shine! Register in the Children’s Department.

HOLIDAY MOVIE MARATHON

Ages: For kids and parents of all ages
When: Monday, December 19, 2011
Time: 10:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m.

What better way to celebrate the season than by sharing your favorite holiday movies with your family? Even better — how about an all-day movie marathon at the library? Drop in for your favorite or stay for more — Christmas cheer and good tidings await! Bring a holiday snack to share and begin the week before Christmas in a special way. Register in the Children’s Department.
