Colorado Springs Real Estate and Golf? Really?

Golf

After my workout early this morning (5K fast walk), I did what I usually do every morning, which is to visit our local Starbucks, and then to order Cherise her daily Grande Americana with one shot Vanilla, and a Grande Chai Tea for myself.

While there, I ran into a high profile Colorado Springs Realtor who is one of the brokers of a mid-sized real estate brokerage in town.

As we chatted back and forth, of course, we asked each other how things are going, including the realities of the Colorado Springs Real Estate business.

We both got a chuckle, when I compared real estate to golf.  Sometimes it feels like we’re scoring double bogey, and at other times, it seems like we’re shooting par or better.

Regardless, as small business owners, we must keep in mind that we can’t stew over the things for which we have no control.  Some days are not as good as others, just like is commonplace for long-term, avid golfers who have experienced horrendous ups and downs during their rounds of golf.  What we can control is our attitude about our approach and execution of our businesses and personal lives.

Starting a round of golf is easy to do.  Experiencing less than a perfect performance on certain holes in the round is expected, but what’s most important is how you finish the entirety of your golf match.

Hope everyone has a terrific Friday!

Gordon and Cherise,  Happy Friday!  Golf is the only sport that causes me tremendous frustration. I have taken lessons and tried my best to even "hit" the ball on a drive.  The purpose of any game is to enjoy it.  That is why I gave up on golf ... I just did not have any fun with it.  I do like being on a golf course and driving the cart.  Have a wonderful weekend.

Gordon,

My Southern friend says it simply, "some days chicken, some days feathers".  LOL. A

Gordon, I like the way you start your day and it is interesting to observe the ups and downs of the real estate cycle. There are definitely ebbs and flows that is for sure.

Have a great weekend my friends from Colorado Springs.

Good analogy, Gordon.  I often say, "that's golf".  And the same goes for real estate.  "That's real estate."
