Stop! Don't Buy That Lipitor Now!

If your prescription Lipitor has run out don't refill it before reading this.

Lipitor is going generic on December 1, 2011. If you are like me you have been spending lots of money for the name brand Lipitor. Well no more, now it will be available at places like Walmart Pharmacy for $4.

If you cannot wait until December 1st, your doctor has some coupons from Lipitor allowing you to buy right now for $4. I guess the company that makes Lipitor is trying to hold on to some of the business that would have left anyway on December 1st.

For me, $4 is a lot easier on my pocket than $50(before meeting drug deductible was much higher). Finally we can save some more money of our prescriptions.

Thanks for the advice Mike. I'll pass it along. I personally don't use it, or any other prescriptions. I'm a lucky guy, the last visit I had to the doctor, he looked me over from head to toe and couldn't find anything wrong. Then he asked me if I ever smoked, or drank, no. You exercise a lot don't you, yes. He told me not to come back until I feel sick. I took his word for it. That was 14 years ago.

I still haven't lost that 20 pounds he said I should, but other than my vision getting better, and my hair getiing grey, not much has happened.

Good advice, I don't take any meds, but I sure don't want others to have to pay too much for theirs.

I had a guy in my class who started taking Fish Oil(Omega 3)softgels with every meal. He had never done this before. In 6 months he lowered his cholesterol by 80 points. Past Generations already knew this with their usage of cod liver oil !!!!

I used to take Lipitor and remember it costing about $120 for 30 day supply.  That's $4 per pill.  Best to try to lower your cholesterol naturally if at all possible and avoid the expense and the side effects.
