The Snow Bird Migration.

Yup, up hear in the Northland, the Snow Bird Migration is in full swing.  WE have seen an exodus going on for the last month or so and will see it continue right on through the holidays.

So, what is a Snow Bird?

It is our aging population in the north that pack real heavy into motor homes and trailers and head south for the winter!

Heaven forbid that they see a site like below and still be on home turf.

The southern states will get a financial shot in the arm with this group.

While I understand the concept of getting away from the cold, I don't think living in the small boxes as they do we be much fun after a week or so.

William some of your snow birds come here to the warm side of Colorado while some of ours head even further south to Texas. I’m with you on living in a small box.

William, The small box can't be too bad, hundreds of thousands of people do it - many of them from Canada. I understand running from the cold weather.

The proverbial good book, cup of cocoa or ? and a warm fire comes to bear when this weather arrives...I look forward to interacting with it not running away...But, of course, to each his own...thank you William

I know some of my friends that go do so because of health reasons.  Others just to escape the cold.  I personally could not handle the box for a long time.  I did a 10 day trip in ours and was ready to get out of it after the 5th day.

William I love the snow birds, yes they flock down to places like Scottsdale, Arizona for some fun in the sun.  Oh by the way...if you know of any snow birds looking for a winter nest in sunny Scottsdale, Arizona, think of me, I would be happy to send you a referral check if they buy or rent.

Hi there Bill, we have an entire herd of them up here! The minute the mercury dips, the plane tickets are purchased or the motor homes are dusted off and refueled!

In fact, that may be what is causing our wind lately...the vast number of snowbirds in migration!
