Lust landscaping might have a high water bill

Since San Diego is a Mediterranean desert, if we want to grow something, we usually have to supplement the water that naturally falls from the sky. If the landscaping is too lush, the monthly water bill could be quite high.

I wonder how high the water bill would be with lust landscaping:

Lust landscaping

Does lust landscaping require special fertilizer? I'll leave it at that....

Jim, that is too funny! I guess I could see lust landscaping, like lush landscaping, running up the water bill.

Jim, we are pretty arid here as well, but having lush landscaping is still important to most buyers here.    The water bill does get out of control in the summer!

In dessert climates it's probably best to conserve water and forego the lush landscaping.

Jim ... I started looking into some of the more "tolerant" plantings ... and found a surprising number of low water plants that produce a very pleasant result.   Some of the desert plants do well in more watered environments ...

Thanks to everyone for their comments, although this was supposed to be a humorous post rather than one about lush landscaping.

The "lust" in my title was not a typo on my part, but it was a typo on someone else's part, which I is why I included the with a big red arrow pointing to the offending typo.

I thought this post would be short enough so that everyone would be able to read it without spending too much time doing so and still have time to leave a comment if desired.

Anyway, Gene's comment was the funniest. He said, and implied, what I had thought.
