An Attitude of Gratitude ~ Meet Mr. Jerry Newman
Ok, Ok, I have thought long and hard about who I should spotlight in this Attitude of Gratitude Contest and the same name kept popping into my head and that name is Mr. Jerry Newman.
Now many of you know Jerry Newman here in Active Rain and there is a reason, and for those of you who don't know Jerry, you are in for a real treat. Jerry joined in January of 2011 and has been one heck of a blogging dynamo since he got here. The man is already at over 200,000 points! That is some serious blogging! But that's not why I picked him to spotlight. I picked him, because Jerry Newman is an incredible giving person not only here in the Active Rain community, but in our own community of San Antonio Texas.
First, let me tell you what he does for the Active Rain community. Since Jerry signed up and learned the magic of Active Rain, he has been one of the number 
one supporters of Active Rain Newbies. So much so, that he even started a group purposely set out to recognize newbies called Introducing Newbies to Active Rain. Now, because this group runs parallel with Active Rain Newbies, folks might get a tad confused about what his group is about. Well, it just gives us a place to introduce and recognize new people here in the Rain who otherwise might go into limbo if not grabbed by the hand and shown what to do. In order to promote this group a little more, Jerry has even sponsored a contest called, what else...Introducing and Recognizing Newbies into Active Rain. Hasn't even been here a dern year and is already sponsoring his first contest...(truth be told, I am a bit jealous, but that's neither here nor there)!

Additionally the man is an avid Group Member of Facebook Fridays and EVERY Friday without fail, Jerry will find 5 Facebook Fan or Business pages to share with Active Rain for us to go and "like" them. I think it would take some time to figure out 5 people of whom to spotlight here in the Rain for their FB pages. Cool huh?
That's just some of the Active Rain Community stuff that Jerry does. He is also an avid giver of his time to the San Antonio Community. Being a Keller Williams Agent, he participated in Red Days, a Keller Williams International community type outreach program opportunity for Realtors® of Keller Williams to
give back to their community. Jerry Newman participated this year on May 12th, you can read all about it here...Pay it Forward-Helping a Few Seniors on the Southside. He also let the rest of us know and participated this year in the Texas State Kidney Foundations Walk n Stroll fundraiser at the San Antonio Pearl Brewery. Why did he do such a thing? He did it to support a fellow Keller Williams Agent who had had a kidney transplant. Isn't that just the nicest thing?

Jerry and I had a nice long talk about brokerages and he knew I was kind of looking for a new place to hang my license. He told me all the wonderful things about Keller Williams Realty, took time out of his day to show me around the office and lent me his Keller Williams Videos, (I still have em...sorry Jerry, I will get them back to you). Anyway, he is one of the fundamental reasons I joined Keller Williams earlier in October and since then, he has always been helpful and available if I have any questions or I feel I need some mentorship.
