waterfront neighborhoods to explore and check out when RI house hunting.  All neighborhoods are fairly close to the beaches on Narragansett Bay or the ocean – the choice is yours.

Having lived in Bonnet Shores, I know the neighborhood well and it has certainly evolved

over time into a great community of vacation and year round living.  Their are two paths to follow to get into Bonnet Shores and for this post I will explore the Bonnet Shores neighborhood off Bonnet Shores Road which is considered the northerly neighborhood.  There is also Bonnet Point Road neighborhood which I will explore with you in another blog post.

A multitude of streets from Onondega, What Cheer, King Phillip Roads to Colonel John Gardiner Road which coasts along the easterly end of Bonnet Shores and looks out on Jamestown (Conanicut Island) on Narragansett Bay.  Homes in Bonnet Shores run the gamut of still tiny summer cottages to tear down homes with ultra 35 foot high newly built or renovated homes.  From cedar shingled to vinyl the exteriors weather the New England weather well.

Prices range from $3.5 million to $300,000 for Bonnet Shores homes here and homes come in all shapes and sizes.  Certainly the waterfront Bonnet Shore homes are the more expensive homes of interest to many buyers.  Believe me, I am sure there is one that fits you too!

Narragansett as I have shared before has a very low property tax rate which makes it an ideal location to buy a second home especially...think Bonnet Shores.
