the list of an agent's duties goes on and on and on...........
Well, what about this habit or skill.....
What about engaging and getting the attention of consumers on social media?!
So, perhaps the habit of placing an ad in the local paper or homes magazine is not only old-fashioned but is in fact, out-dated and ineffective. Perhaps the agent who concentrates on direct mail could be out-of-sync with the buying public?
Maybe, just maybe the agent who is well-versed on Facebook, Youtube, Linkedin, Twitter and blogging is not only the most modern and informed Realtor, they may be the most effective?
Don't get me wrong, an agent still needs to possess all of those skills listed above.
Realtors still need to keep and utilize many marketing tools in their arsenal, but in my humble opinion one of the first conversations a potential Seller needs to have with an agent is about their social media presence. If the agent gets that 'deer in the headlights' expression on their face, that Seller should move on to the next Realtor!
