Here in Arizona (except the Navajo Nation) we do not fall back in the Fall nor do we spring ahead in the Spring. We just don't do Daylight Saving Time.
The general feeling is that here in Arizona we don't need another hour of sunshine in the summer - and that is something that I certainly can't disagree with.
So, in the rest of the country (except Hawaii) while you are busy setting your clocks, watches, alarms, etc. back, here in Arizona we don't have to worry about that - sounds simple right?
Well, not exactly - you see we aren't actually seperate - so there are some consequences for thinking that we here in Arizona can just do our own thing.
For instance - while on Friday the Daily Show came on at 8:00pm on Monday it will not be on until 9:00pm.
While on Friday we were on the same time as California -we are now one hour ahead of them.
On Friday we were three hours behind the East Coast - now there is a two hour time difference.
OK - as you are sitting there with three more watches and seven more clocks to reset you see me as whining - well, I am not really - just letting you know that there are some adjustments we need to make too.
It's not that easy being different.
