24 Comments on Creative Ideas For The Kids' Table - Chalkboard Paint and Holiday Dressing
Sharon,
You had a brilliant idea and you carried it through. Plus look how happy those grandsons of yours are too!
Honestly, I would never guess it's the same table and chairs. You're a genius!
Patricia
You are the best of the best....hope you are well
We all know I'm not as good as you when it comes to keeping up with posts, but this just isn't fair! It's only Monday and you're posting pictures of my two favorite little guys.............I could have missed it! Now that you have teeth marks on your A$$, I will proceed..................
Love the chalkboard paint on the table and the Christmas motif on that little set is adorable. You are "tops" in my book!
Patricia: Aside from being called "genius", thank you for that, I have to say how much I enjoy that your comment rhymes!
Gerry: Thank you! Right back at ya!
Roger: My A$$...your teeth....sounds like fun! You are too funny! Wouldn't you and Mickey look adorable at that table, LOL!
Sharon, I never saw chalkboard paint in action! Great job and creative thinking! I'd like a table like that.
Sharon
What a great idea and business model, the post and the idea is well worth a feature.
Good luck and success.

That seems to be a great idea. The grandchildren will love it.
Sharon, congrats on finally getting to that project. Love the color combination.
Oh you just come up with the most cleverest ideas missy!!! Those are great, but I love the photo of the boys enjoying the fruits of your labor the most! :)D
Ellen: It's awesome. When my kids were little we painted the bottom half of their playroom walls with green chalkboard paint.
Sharon- you are the most creative person I know. And you make it sound so easy. I once saw a powder room where they'd painted part of the wall with chalkboard paint for any and all guests to "sign in" whenever they wanted. I loved it. I have a small framed chalkboard in my powder room and my friend's daughters love to leave a message when they're visiting.
Sharon, I love chalkboard paint! They need to do that everywhere, since graffitti has become such a nuisance! I have clients that have a chalkboard in their kitchen and the weeks menu is written out so there are no surprises! I would love to do something like that, but evenings aren't always spent at home and dinner can't be made in 14 minutes...
Love what you did with the table!
Hi Sharon--amazing how creative you are. Using the chalkboard spray paint was really brilliant and I can see how your grandchildren are really enjoying your idea. And then you go on to dress up the whole thing. Could you fly to Maui for a while--I have a series of backed up projects that could use your attention!
How cool is that? I love it and very clever. Keeping the little kids busy for Thanksgiving dinner is something to be thankful for too!
Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family Sharon!
Sharon - you always have such wonderfully creative ideas. I love this!
Lou: Thank you!
Brian: It can be a little messy when they start going wild with the chalk, but they are really enjoying it! It's an easy clean too.
Anna: It almost didn't happen at all...if not for the picture on the spray chalkboard paint can. The color paint I used is something I had from painting walls in my home. Glad you like it!
Laura: Thank you! I love that picture too. It makes me happy to see them having fun!
Kathy: It was easy and I have no doubt that you could have done it just as well. I love the powder room idea...I'll have to play with that idea a bit.
Peg: I don't think I could be that organized to have the menu written out in advance. But, I bet it looks great!
Janet: Could I "fly to Maui for a while"? Now that's an offer that's tough to pass by. I've never been...hope to get there someday.
Lydie: Keeping them busy before dinner didn't even occur to me, LOL! It's so obvious too. Hope you and yours have a wonderful holiday!
Toni: Thank you! You should get some chalkboard paint and let your creative juices flow!
You have the most creative mind! I love it and thanks so much for sharing these great and creative ideas. I have an old child's table and chairs - and I'm thinking I will do the same thing for my grandchildren. What a grand idea!
Louise: Thank you! I hope you will share a picture when you are finished with your table and chairs.
