If you haven't heard yet, Jerry Newman has challenged us seasoned bloggers to seek out AR Newbies and write a blog about them to introduce them to our subscribers, associates and the rest of the AR community.

On that note, I'd like to now introduce everyone to Cynthia Williams who I first noticed earlier this month with her post, Not all Rental/Leasing opportunities are as easy as 1,2,3 which was only her 5th post.  But it was her most recent post, You Cannot Deter Me From Loving What I Do!! (her 9th post) that I really started to enjoy her blog and subscribed to her.

I really think she’s going to be a great addition to our little community (yes folks, 200k+ is considered small in the scheme of blogging communities).

I loved this most recent post because it clearly illustrated what a “tough cookie” Cynthia is.  We all know that so many people just simply don’t respect our chosen professions and so often don’t think of our jobs as a “real job” or think we are some kind of free service.

Hopefully, we have learned to deal with such disrespect and rudeness in our professional lives and on that note, I just want to advise the newbies here that the skills and characteristics they have acquired to deal with such situations in your personal and professional lives will come in very handy here in the rain.

ATTENTION NEWBIES: Every kind of person you meet in your personal and professional life, you will meet here in the rain too!

AR is simply a smaller version of society as a whole.  There are a lot of really nice and incredible people here who you will enjoy getting to know.

Some you will become friends with, some you may even end up working with and still others that you will simply learn so much from because they are phenomenal bloggers and have established an incredible business from their blogging efforts.

On the flipside, there are also not so nice people here too!  In any society or community there will always be “those” folks; you know the types, those who are just really unpleasant people to talk to or work with.  You have your know-it-alls and the negative types and the whiners and the political militants and the religious fanatics.

You also have the “popular kids” and the little cliques that go along with that sort of group and some days, you’re going to swear that you feel like you’re back in high school with some of the bickering and squabbling that goes on here. SERIOUSLY!!!

Once again newbie AR bloggers, whatever type of person you come across in life, you will come across here in the rain.  Just like life and work, there are certain methods we have all developed in dealing with all these various types of people and you are going to need to utilize those skills when “playing here in the rain”.

Just like in life, don’t let the difficult ones take the wind out of sails or rain on your parade or deter you from your course.  Some days, the nonsense will get to you and you will need a break.  My best advice: just try and ignore it and don’t let it get to you. I speak from experience when I say that.

Just try and surround yourself (through subscriptions & associations) with all the wonderful people here in the rain.  Above all, HAVE FUN!!!  If you're not having fun and making new friends then you're doing something wrong.  LOL

On that note, I encourage everyone to stop by Cynthia’s blog and give her a warm and friendly AR welcome.  I know you can folks, I see it here all the time in the rain.

Marie - I'm glad you liked it.  I think it's really important for us more seasoned member to help out the newbies whenever we can.  Firs joining here can be so overwhelming and if our newbies don't stick around, our community will not grow and flourish.

Connie - I really like her too and hope that she likes us to.

Scott - I'm really liking this whole "newbie introductions".  I'm thinking I want to make a habit of this regardless of the contest.

Suzanne - Really???  They thought your welcomes were spam?  That seems wierd.  Anyway, I'm really liking Cynthia and I think she will make a nice addition to the community.

Thx for stopping by folks; I really appreciate it.  Have a good night everyone and a wonderful week too!  :)

Jane G - While there are so many incredible people here and you just can't help but adore so many of them. Then, of course, there are those "others". LOL As fate has it, every community has those folks.

Jane P - I'm looking forward to reading more from her and am excited about the kind of blog she builds.

Joni - LOL  Oh, I didn't say I didn't like the Jesus Freaks!  I do!  I even like some whiners and know-it-alls and even some of the political militants.  You're right, we all need all sorts of people in our lives just to keep life interesting.  :)

Don - The newbies do need a lot of help, even more so than before we all first started years ago.  It's so much overwheliming now that it has ever been before.

Thx for stopping by everyone; I really appreciate it.  Have a good night folks and a great week too!  :)

Donne

What a great idea. I have invited several potential bloggers before, but only one really took me up on it and has blogged to her heart's content. Have to seek out the others.

Thanks for posting.

Hi everyone:  Thank you so much for stopping by and wishing me a great Thanksgiving.  I spend the day with family and had a wonderful time.  Unfortunately, on Friday I started coming down with something and have been sick all weekend.  I feel miserable and am just loading up on vitamin C and day/nite quil and honey tea for the sore throat and cough.  Haven't been spending much time surfing the rain this weekend.   Have a good night everyone and a wonderful week too!
