Let's Get a Little Extra Ventilation Going . . . Monday Photos

While showing a listing this morning, I heard some knocking that sounded out of the ordinary. As I search around the house I was getting more confused, and thought that I was maybe hearing some extra noises just to myself.

As I rounded the last corner of the house, I caught sight of the culprit.

A wood pecker maybe trying to get it's winter home set up. I notified the home owner immediately but it may not be the easiest thing to discourage that little bird.

Great shot.  They are quite pesky.  One exterminator told me if a woodpecker if pecking on the house there are carpterner bees. Can't valid one way or the other.

Hi Ed,  Fun photo.  I was on my morning walk and heard a woodpecker piounding away on a metal pail !  The racket was really loud - do woodpeckers not get6 headaches !?!?

Ed, woodpeckers are NOT easily discouraged...I've had to deal with a couple of them at my house in Illinois...they certainly are persistent.

Wow, I've never seen a woodpecker attacking a house.  I guess they don't like Canadian houses.  Or maybe because the majority of homes here are brick.

They can be very tenacious and drive you nuts too. What a helpful agent you were today.

Oh I wish that homeowner good luck!  Those little rascals aren't easily discouraged at all.  Hmmmnnn,,,... kind of reminds me of someone.  But who ever could that be?

Great photo too Ed Sylva!  Hope you're having a great week!

Ed, yep I would say that homeowner has a problem unless they catch that woodpecker, and take him far away for the house.

Hi Ed, No doubt it is going to get cold where you are very soon if it is not already. Maybe that woodpecker got left behind in their migration.
