We turned back our clocks last night with a wonderful welcoming of our cooler weather settling in.
Awakening on this Sunday morning to a cool 67 Degrees warranted opening the windows to allow our home to be filled with the crisp morning air. We can hear the birds chirping and have noticed the birds that migrate to the south each year beginning to arrive. Well not just the real birds that fly in the air but we have noticed also the human snow birds are already beginning to arrive as well as the Equestrians.
Right when the folks up north are winterizing we are going back outside to play, walk, jog and so forth. Most of the summer is spent in doors unless you are on the water boating or swimming at the beach. This is the most beautiful and comfortable time of the year to be outside. This morning I saw neighbors out weeding and planting. This is the season to start planting your gardens here as the pests are not so bad this time of year and the weather is so nice that the plants love to grow in it.
I went to Church this morning and felt the air upon my cheeks realizing how truly blessed I am to live in Wellington and more importantly in this wonderful country we call America. When I got back from Church it was 72 degrees. I took a few moments just to soak in all my blessings and thought of all the reasons that people from up north want to come down here to Wellington Florida for the winter season! They get the best of both worlds; the experience of the change of seasons and yet when it gets too cold they are only a short plane trip away from their second home here in Florida.
