Winter Wonderland in St. Augustine, Fl opens this Saturday, November 26, for those missing the seasonal cold weather.
The 5th Annual Winter Wonderland is held at the St. Augustine Amphitheater located on Anastasia Island. The Winter Wonderland features North Florida’s first outdoor skating rink and various winter attractions including an Ice Slide, the Blizzard Bounce House, the Elf Village and a new Frost Kingdom themed train ride just for kids! The train is located right outside the North Pole and loops past the Elf Village and Ice Slide while circling under a canopy of lights.
There are also visits from Santa on certain days, Reindeer Games, Sleigh Rides and other winter theme events. For adults there is the Igloo Ski Lounge where you can enjoy a beverage in front of the fire or while loafing in one of our over-sized couches watch your kids skate via the live feed on the big screen TV.
More than 78,000 parents, children and friends attended the event last year.
Hours are 5 to 10 p.m. Monday through Friday, and 2 to 10 p.m. Saturday and Sunday beginning Nov. 26 and running through Jan. 1.
Special holiday hours will be from 2 to 10 p.m. on Christmas Eve, Dec. 24; from 5 to 10 p.m. on Christmas Day, Dec. 25; from noon to 5 p.m. on New Year’s Eve, Dec. 31; and from 2 to 10 p.m. on New Year’s Day, Jan. 1.
Admission is free. Ice skating is $10 per person, with a $2 skate rental. Prices for the ice slide and other activities are listed online at www.winterwonderlandflorida.com.
