Housing on the rebound- Miami-Dade and Broward Counties Florida are in a turn-around.
Realtor.com just reported that Broward County Florida ranks in the top ten, coming in at spot number 5 for places where the housing market is turning around since the bust.
Miami-Dade County is number 1 on the list! Orlando came in at #2.
Unfortunately Palm Beach County did not make the top ten list but we are still looking forward to the day when it does turn around which will be by the end of 2012. There are pockets of Palm Beach County that are seeing an upswing even though we did not make the list.
Two of the factors are reduction in homes for sale and recent price increases.
In Broward county the median home price rose by 3.77 percent from the same quarter a year ago. There are also 38% fewer homes for sale today in Broward county than there were just a year ago.
But check this out with Miami-Dade county- the prices have soared there to a whopping 25% abovelast year, same time prices. This is great news and of course, news that is to be expected. The foreign buyers are fueling the Miami - Dade markets buying up properties for all cash.
While Florida suffered the most in the bust with the most equity being evaporated it is still the Sunshine State. Florida will continue to be a place where people will retire to. Florida because of the great weather and wonderful beaches and lifestyles will continue to attract the foreign buyers.
