Awesome reminder. It has never been so apparent as now how much the attitude has changed to our military and I for one am so greatful that more and more people are realizing just how important a job these men and women perform each and every day.

I am in awe that these families give up so much to protect our freedom. This is a wonderful tribute to those who so bravely serve.

Hi Louise...You did a wonderful job covering the many reasons we should be thankful for the service of so many fine men and women. My husband, having served in the Army for 35 years, is an example of a kind and gentle man who was also a warrior when it came to protecting our country.

Great post! My brother has been in the USMC for 15 years and my sister married a Marine. It's so hard to be away from them on holidays, graduations, weddings, birthdays, anniversaries, and many other family events. But, I support them and am so incredibly grateful for their service.
