Thankful TattooIt is ironic that the day of Thanksgiving for thinking about what we DO have in our lives and having gratitude for that is followed by Black Friday, a huge shopping day focusing on what we DON'T have and must buy. We need to

Unlock The Key Of Gratitude On Thanksgiving.

Mainly understanding that gratefulness in our lives is not only a key to happiness but also "fulfilment." KNOWING that we are complete, full, perfect, JUST AS WE ARE if we will only acknowledge what we already have. Then go from there. The concept of richness is so flawed in our material world whereas spiritual richness seems not talked about hardly at all.

What do they say? Store up TREASURES where neither moth will get to them or rust will have any effect? People that love you, goodness in your life from every direction, health if you have it, just being alive, it goes on and on. When you START from a position of already being FULL FILLED, it is all turkey gravy from that point on in your life. I leave you this last quotation to think about and SEE if you are living your life with this thought in mind:

"The richest man in the world is not the one who has the most, but the one who needs the least."

HAPPY THANKSGIVING.

Gary - thank you for this most insightful post!  I understand what you mean about Black Friday.  I'd rather stay home and shop online than give in to a day of greed.  I'm sure it's fun for others and the merchandisers love it!  I'd rather shop small business Saturday!  Happy Thanksgiving!

Gary,

We share the same sentiment but you said it better than I would have.

I HAVE eveything I need and most of what I want.  I don't need to shop on Black Friday.

I am one of the most fortunate beings on the planet and I am grateful every day.

Life is good!

Gary - you are so inspiring.  I have done Black Friday when it was fun to do and I don't remember when I did it last time.  These days my grandchildren spent the night at my house which is my icing on the cake for Thanksgiving as I'm so thankful I have them in my life.

Have a very Happy Thanksgiving :)

Petra: I think people shop when they want to, and a lot online, and the preference is to AVOID the crowds. Happy Thanksgiving YOUR way too.....

Gary, you need the least. Just a good heart and you are FULL FILLED. You have it and you share it readily. We are grateful for that, and it's more meaningful than any dollar could ever buy.

Money DOESN'T buy happiness.

Giving of your spirit does.
