When I host a party or dinner, someone will pull me aside, and ask what the secret is, to the dish or dessert they may have enjoyed. I'm reminded of something a chef told me a long time ago- "When in doubt, just add more butter
Not margarine, not a spread, but pure, unadulterated butter. He was right. Although I try to eat healthy most of the time, every once in a while you have to live a little. When my wife asked me to taste her sweet potatoes below, and give her some advice, I told her, add even more butter. She did, and they came out spectacular. Well, the sugar and cinnamon didn't hurt either.
