Happy Thanksgiving.
There are a couple of things ... first I want to say thanks to my very sweet client who sent me flowers as I was recuperating from my recent surgery. I've always said I am blessed with the best clients. This is just further proof it is really true. This particular client was supposed to already be a home owner because the contract was for last week. But as can happen with real estate, there is a little problem that has to be worked out and he agreed to give the seller time to work it out and extended the contract.
I had my family Thanksgiving on Tuesday. I didn't feel much up to turkey, but I did enjoy a little of my mom's super great dressing. Today my Donald and Abigail are both working. I ventured out... I had to go to the office to feed and hold and pet the kitty and then I popped on down to Kroger for a few things.
I have over the past few years started to listen to books on CD when I am in my car. Of course I also read when I can. But I rarely part with a book. Once I read it and come to know the people who live on those pages I can't return them to the library or pass them along. They are my "friends" and I want to be able to visit with them from time to time, so we have full bookshelves and another few random stacks of books. I finished one of those books on my way home from Kroger today. I wasn't ready for my visit with those friends to end. So I'll be watching for the next J.D. Robb novel so I can visit with them again.
I thought about and I feel the very same way about my clients. I keep them too. I like to visit with them from time to time. I'm looking forward to one of my Lake Sinclair neighbors who is a former client coming by the office on Saturday. And I hope to be getting out to visit some other of my former clients who now are among my friends. When I help someone find a home I get to know them and genuinely care about them. So I don't take my clients back to the library either. :)
So if you are looking for a home at Lake Sinclair call Lane Realty, the brokerage that treats you family and keeps you as a friend even after the closing. And if you are in the area in the month of December stop by the office for coffee and cookies. We'll be baking all month long and there's always a pot of fresh coffee.
