Sounds like a real old-time, traditional event. Hope that it is lots of fun!
Debb - Hometown Holidays in Camas sounds like just my kind of event to kick of the holidays and a carriage ride sounds like the perfect way to get into the holiday spirit. I'm sure you'll have a big turnout and who doesn't want to see Santa?!
This really sounds like a lot of fun, Debb! You can't beat a Christmas tree lighting, carriage rides, refreshments, specials by local store owners, AND a visit from Santa! Hope the weather co-operates for you, Debb!
Melissa, thanks Camas is an old fashioned little town, filled with fun and contemporary people. Makes a nice combo.
Hi GF - Kris. I'm actually going to be in Bend, visiting my son, so sadly I'll miss it this year. Oh well, hopefully I'll run into Santa another time. ;)
Bruce - it's a win/win for all, that's for sure. It's smart for small towns dtohost these events to drum up business and "spirit."
Hometown Holiday sounds like a ton of fun and reminds me of days of being a kid! Great localism DJ.
Hi Debb. Great event coming up in historic downtown Camas. Refreshments and carolers to lighten up even the heart of a Mr. Scrooge. Now, that would be Awesome.
Have a Wonderful Weekend!
Debb,
Lovely local happenings. We have a first Friday every month in our little town of Carpinteria. It is a lot of fun, and the merchants have contests, such as "which restaurant had the best guacamole?' We toured, tasted, and voted. Lots of good will is generated, and good sales. Have a great Saturday. A
Hey Q -man. Good to see you. It is a wonderful and old fashioned celebration - but as I mentioned, very contemporary people who host it and attend. :)
Happy Holidays Jerry! Yes, melting the heart of Scrooge, not always an easy task.
Alexandra - Good will = good sales. Savvy you. ;)
Lovely, my friend! Hope you will be there to take lots of video for your next 'feature' :)
Oh, and I LOVE the background! Very in keeping with the season. I guess we have to change the mindset now, huh? BEAUTIFUL
What a charming and festive event coming up on Friday Debb, particularly the fun of kicking off the season with lighting up the tree and everything else along the way. Enjoy yourself if you go....
